Katia graduated with honours from the University of Perugia (Italy) in 2014. Before and after graduation, Katia enjoyed spending most of her free time in the Cardiology and Internal Medicine department of the Teaching Veterinary Hospital of the University of Perugia. Katia moved to the UK in 2015 were she joined a busy first opinion practice for over a year.

 

Katia completed 2 rotating internships at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists and Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists. Katia returned to General Practice in August 2019 where she completed her certificate in Cardiology. She finally joined SVCC in July 2021 as a cardiology intern and she completed her PgCert in Cardiology in 2022, before becoming a Cardiology Clinician in 2023.

 

Katia enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Medicine and Cardiology, but her passion lays in the understanding of the electrophysiologic basis of cardiac arrhythmias. Her dream is to open an electrophysiologic and radio-frequency ablation centre for dogs and cats in the UK.
