Luca graduated with honours in 1992 from the
`Luca performing a cardiac intervention with Dr Tobias and Dr Nguyenba at the University of Minnesota (USA)
During his career, Luca has received several awards and academic recognitions, both for his teaching and research activities. He has contributed to the veterinary literature with more than seventy articles, research communications and book chapters. Luca has been invited to speak at several national and international meetings, seminars and continuing education programs for the veterinary and veterinary nursing profession. His main interests include, but are by no means limited to, diagnosis and treatment of feline cardiac disease, interventional cardiology, as well as clinical investigation of syncope, collapse and exercise intolerance.
Luca is one of very few European and RCVS Recognised Specialists in Veterinary Cardiology. He is a member of the ECVIM and RCVS board of examiners and Officer of the European Society of Veterinary Cardiology (ESVC).

Heidi graduated from the University of Bristol (UK) in 2005.
After a 3-year period working in mixed general practice in Surrey and Kent, Heidi joined a large multi-departmental clinic in Berkshirein 2009, where she worked within the small animal first-opinion department for three years. Having always had a special interest in cardiology, Heidi was awarded the Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology in after passing the RCVS examination in 2010. Heidi has received awards for projects in both small animal and equine cardiology and has also participated in a variety of international research projects relating to both canine and feline cardiology and canine exercise studies. She has also contributed to the veterinary literature with publications within these fields. Her main interests include small animal congenital diseases, investigation of recurrent falling and fainting and equine cardiology.
